Potash has been hitting the headlines for many reasons this week. Aside from a hostile takeover of a Saskatechwan potash company which some see as a key asset in the coming years of overpopulation and food shortage, there’s also this brilliant new tune from Julie Potash to savour. Did I just make a political pun-based joke about potash? I think I did, sorry guys.
Anyway, Hesta Prynn is the alias of former Northern State member Julie Potash, whose debut EP dropped about a month ago. But what I’m really buzzing about is this post-EP track. Picture this: Julie’s own vocals intertwining exquisitely with those of Les Savy Fav frontman, Tim Harrington, all finished off with a catchy guitar line, courtesy of Chuck Brody (who has mixed for the likes of the Wu Tang Clan). Sound good? Hit play, you know you want to.
